Candlelight Vigil

SWMI Indivisible condemns the shooting of 37-year-old Minneapolis resident Renee Nicole Good, a poet and loving mother with a partner, family and friends, by ICE officers on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

This act is the type of violence that protestors, community leaders and state and national officials have warned about for months. It is a direct attack against American citizens exercising their right to peacefully assemble.

The Administration and its Department of Homeland Security calling this domestic terrorism and self defense is propaganda - plain and simple. The actions of this officer go against established law enforcement methods and investigation protocols.

We urge our community to insist on civility, non-violence, adherence to the law and accountability from our political leaders, our community leaders and ourselves. This violence cannot continue.
